When I first moved to Germany, we bought a nice, plush, rich-purple-fabric-swathed sofa. This was pre-baby and pre-dog. It is now a slightly less nice, plush, purple sofa covered in drool, spit up, juice, and cookie crumbs. I wish it was as easy for us as it was for a couple of friends of ours who recently recovered their entire Ikea living room seating using Bemz slip covers. From their website:
