While I live a life of unique circumstances, I thought others might benefit from knowing about Peltor Kids Earmuffs. They are not new or an exciting toy, but they do serve a very important purpose– to protect your child’s hearing at loud events.
Due to my husband’s job, my son went to his first basketball game at three weeks old. I held off from taking him at one week, but by three weeks, I thought I had it figured out. My husband’s employer arranged for me to sit in a small suite at the basketball game in order to eliminate the concerns I had regarding my son’s ears. A friend of mind had a set of the Peltor Kids Earmuffs for her son who was almost a year older than mine. I was intrigued enough that when I returned to the US from Germany, I ordered a pair.
We use them for concerts and sporting events. The Peltor Kids allow normal decibel levels in, so my son can hear me talk, but it eliminates the peaks in sound from cheering and loud music.
In the U.S., Peltor Kids Earmuffs are available online from Enviro Safety Products. Their webpage says they will ship internationally, so if you can’t find them locally, try emailing them. I’m still looking for a place to buy these in Europe, but outside the UK.
