While checking out the massive discounts over at Victoria’s Secret right now (It seems sexy lingerie isn’t in high demand during a recession), I noticed a category “Nursing.” I clicked it and low and behold, there were two nursing bras:
VS piped, full-coverage, underwire, nursing bra (available in nude and black, both with white trim)

VS nursing plunge bra (available in buff, white and black)
I’m a little disappointed in the styles offered. I wish they had something a little sexier. Or a lightly padded bra to help hide nursing pads. But the contrast piping on the underwire bra is cute and the plunge bra does look a little sexier than my Medela Comfort nursing bras.
Has anyone tried the Victoria’s Secret nursing bras? What do you think?

They have had nursing bras for about 2 years. For a while they had more choices. I was going to get one after ds2 was born and my boobs were a somewhat stable size. I called to order (as you can not get them in stores, from their catalog, or the web when I tried in November). They were out of stock until mid January. I said forget it and I got another nursing cami from Tar.get and a regular nursing bra from Wal.Mart (which after many tries are my favorites)
I read that after doing a search. It doesn’t seem they tried very hard to get the word out. I sent them an email suggestion that they carry nursing bras about a year ago and they could have emailed back that they do, but they didn’t. This line almost seems like an afterthought.
I read that they did a market test and it appears they decided to go with the two styles they are now selling. I am going to be doing a product test for my website and blog(I am currently nursing). Check next week for my review.
I don’t think much of them.
Even on the photos the models are wearing the wrong size: the underwire cuts off the breast instead of encircling it, and the bridge does not lie flat in the front.
The size range is really miserable — I need a 30FF, and their smallest band size is 34. I could wear that around my hips, nut on my bust, it would really ride up !
I have tried the nursing plunge bra and I love it! It provides shape, it has this light padding and it is comfortable. I bought one in black and when I tried to order another one in white, my size was unavailable (34B). I emailed them to ask when it was going to be available. They replied promptly saying that they were discontinuing it. I was so bummed out! I finally found a nursing bra that I like only to find out I can’t purchase it anymore.
I meant 36B. I was so disappointed when I checked online and they only had 34B and 38B left. I just checked ebay but they only have the lace versions. I liked this one because it’s functional but sexy and it’s smooth under clothing.
I just bought a whole bunch of the nursing bras on clearance for $12.99 because apparently they are being discontinued. They offer much more than is showed and in really cute styles too. I didn’t even know they sold nursing bras – I randomly walked in because I’m due in 2 weeks and was getting desparate. Anyway, they had a really cute leopard print with red trim, some lace bras (in pink, black, or white), the piped underwire bra (in black or nude – these were a little uncomfortable and its suggested not to wear underwire when breastfeeding anyway), and the plunge bra (in white and nude – not the most attractive but the most comfortable by far). I totally stocked up in different sizes because I have no idea what size I’ll be after I give birth but the smallest size I saw in the bins was 34b and the largest was 40dd. Keep in mind this is like their supersale bin style grab bag. Anyway, after this weekend and the sale is said and done – the salesclerk said they are discontinuing and shipping them out. Too bad – I hope they’re good bras since I bought so many but they have a 90 day return policy anyway. Anyway, happy hunting – just go to every Victoria’s Secret near you and dig in the bins.
I’m trying to fine just one quality bra that has some light padding (that will cover nursing pads). I talked to a lady from VS and they do have these 2 styles in stock, but I’m wondering if either one has some light padding that will give some shape and cover up pads/nipples/etc.? Anyone tried one of these lately? Thanks!
I bought them both and winded up returning the underwire bra (didn’t have any padding and was uncomfortable to me personally). I really love the plunge bra which does have padding and is very comfortable. It does have a nice shape but should be hand or delicate cycle washed. VS has a pretty good return policy – it’s 90 days from date of purchase so if the bra doesn’t work out for some reason just keep the receipt and you can return it.
Just called their online customer service and they don’t carry them any more. =(
I bought two of them before they were discontinued, and I really didn’t like them. I had to do a blind buy…had them delivered to my mom in the US and she brought them over to me in Germany. I must say, the Madela sleep bra and another Madela nursing bra that I bought, I love! I had to get two more to replace those from VS, and I got them from H&M. They, of course, didn’t have my size, but I bought a couple bra extenders, and they are great. So, in my opinion, I’m pretty glad they discontinued them since I thought they were crap. However, I’m glad that some of you got some use out of them, and if anyone needs a 40D, let me know, I’ve got two that I’ll never wear, and I”ll send them to you
I wish they carried their bras, still. This is the only place I can find comfy bras that fit right. I’m in a 40D right now and that’s impossible to find anywhere. Any ideas anyone?
Have you tried Bravado (http://www.bravadodesigns.com/)? Some of their bras come in band sizes up to 46.
Miranda: If you want the two VS ones that I’ve got, you are more than welcome to them! They are 40D, but they just weren’t my cup of tea. Just shoot me an e-mail (jmeissner(at)live(dot)com) with your address and they are yours!
THanks for the tip Christina! The site looks wonderful and has some great tips on it. Also, Jentry I sent you my address in your email. Thanks again, ladies!
I just went to VS online and in the search typed Nursing Bra…and it brought up both bras. However, there are limited sizes in each.

THIS is exactly what I needed today! Nursing bras were so hard to find for me because I was a 34 G when my milk came in! I found some that worked great at HerRoom.com but now that my baby weight is coming off my rib size has shrunk. If I thought it was hard to find bras in a 32 band size, nursing bras will only be worse! But now I can convert my old ones into nursing bras! Hurray!
