I've got the rocking chair from IKEA. I do like it! However, for those longer nursing sessions, or when Amelia falls asleep and I don't want to disturb her, it does get a bit uncomfortable after a while. Oh, and you definitely need a Boppy or Stillkissen when using it, since the arms are a bit low for breastfeeding. Before discovering the rocking chair at IKEA, we were looking at a glider chair in which all the moving parts were covered, so it was like a "real" chair, if you know what I mean, with sides and whatnot. It was roughly 900 Euro, so that was just a pipe dream of mine, even though I tried my hardest to convince Markus, but it was really a lost cause.

Oh, and another thing about the rocking chair...I guess Markus didn't really understand when I said, "Don't rock Amelia too fast in it, especially after she eats."...He learned the hard way after being completely doused in baby puke...But it does have a nice rock, when you just rock it a little. :)

I'm going to have to look into the Fatboy...sounds like a pretty good investment.

The Fatboy looks awesome. I forgot to check out the rocking chairs at IKEA when I was there yesterday. I'll have to go back and see. Clair climbs on everything at the moment, so any kind of rocking chair might be a bit dangerous at the moment.

I never thought of nursing on a Fatboy, but I'll have to give it a try. We were at a party in Munich when Oliver was about a year old and the partygivers had one. There were lots of toddlers at the party, not a single toy, but the Fatboy kept them all occupied and entertained for hours. So even beyond nursing it's a great thing to have around.

Those gliders are pinchy traps after kids start moving. I wish they would figure out a better way to so that! They are nice and smooth, it is true. I wish they would think about cases where people have multiple children that would stick their finger in the chair while the mom was nursing the baby!

I nurse a lot in my computer chair, it is alright but the Boppy as my seat cushion makes it really comfortable!
