I really like these wraps because they just don't look like maternity or nursing wear at all. You could wear them anytime nursing or not. I particularly like the first two, they would go well with so many different outfits. I am personally past the nursing stage for good but like to look out for nice things to show to younger friends.

I bought a number of the glamourmom nursing tanks (fantastic) and then bought normal sweater cardigans or wraps like you've found here (nice!) and found that combination was the best for style and ease of nursing. I think this type of duo is much more discreet also, then some of the crazy nursing capes or blankets or hoods or whatever that I've seen out there. Laura in Ludwigsburg

Thanks so much for this. I just ordered the teal and the gray! I know what you mean about Germany. My friends in the US don't dress up at all, but it's fine to go to Target in your PJs there. I know moms here in Germany that don't dress up too they just wear baggy t-shirts, but living in the center of Wiesbaden, people look so nice that I get depressed if I go out like that. I feel out of place. Some of the German moms in my child group don't see the point since they're only planning on bfing 4-6 months, but I'm on my third baby - he's 4 weeks now - and the first two I breastfed 25 and 31 months respectively. I don't want to wear baggy shirts for the next 2-4 years - we're planning on one more after this one! Oh and that Issbella Oliver stuff is ridiculously overpriced. It's unbelievable. Thanks for a great, affordable alternative to us moms who want to dress a little nicer.

One's enough for now, since I only go in to Regensburg a couple times a week, but if we end up moving to Munich, more probably would come in handy. I always feel pressure to dress up more when I'm there ;-)

Living in Germany, having your baby along for an entire day out shopping and dining is pretty typical. Europeans also dress up, so it's easy to feel dumpy if you don't wear nice outfits.

As far as wraps, I would go with this rather than the Isabella Oliver wrap that costs over 3 times as much. I would still use a burping cloth and breast pads along with it to minimize mess, just like I would any nursing outfit. But for a nice cover up, I think it's great. If you don't want/need to dress up when you're out with your baby, of course, then there's no need to have it. Save the money for other expenses.

By the way, the instructions say hand wash and dry flat, but I put it through the wash on gentle cycle and dried it in the machine on low and it was no problem. No pilling or shrinking at all.

Would you really want to wear something that nice for nursing? I'm thinking of milk leakage and baby puke here!
